A Unique Event at BBE Record Shop
A few weeks ago, something very special happened at the BBE record shop. This wasn’t just another in-store session; it was a We Turn Tables takeover. This day marked the first time the Union Audio Orbit 6 was used at the venue. It was installed by Gillman Audio specifically for this occasion.
DJs flew in from Limerick, bringing the underground We Turn Tables energy across the water to London. The difference was clear right from the start. The Orbit 6 delivered warmth, depth, and analogue clarity. Basslines had more substance, and vocals had more texture and presence. The rotary format encouraged longer blends and intentional audio storytelling, making it a perfect match for a vinyl-only celebration.
The Lineup of Talented DJs
The lineup for the day was impressive. Here’s the order of performance:
A.O.D
Vic Bradshaw
Southi
Chris Hewitt
Ross Purcell
The Unique Sound Experience
Each DJ brought their own identity to the booth. They played deep soul, groove-led house, rare discoveries, and timeless tunes. All of this was mixed perfectly through the Orbit 6’s fully analogue signal path. The music created a vibrant soundtrack for a day when an iconic record shop evolved from a retail space into a cultural hub.
Regulars arrived early, and soon new visitors followed the sound in from the street. The atmosphere was electric, filled with anticipation and excitement.
Capturing the Moment
Photographer Dante Dubskate captured the ambiance of energy, focus, and connection perfectly. From hands on vinyl to heads nodding in sync, every moment was documented beautifully.
The Union Audio Orbit 6 defined the day. With installation by Gillman Audio, it performed flawlessly. This event set a new standard for how the BBE space can sound.
