Franck Roger
Paris-based Franck Roger has been a driving force in underground house music for more than two decades, building a reputation as a DJ, producer and label owner with an unwavering commitment to the deeper roots of the music.
Franck began DJing in 1997 and moved into production in 1999. Growing up surrounded by Motown, disco and reggae, his fascination with house music was further shaped by Parisian radio and, in particular, Radio FG’s A Deep Groove Radio Show, hosted by DJ Gregory, DJ Deep and Alex from Tokyo. Those early influences established an approach to music that remains rooted in digging, discovery and an appreciation for the culture surrounding the dancefloor.
As a producer, Franck developed a distinctive sound built around deep grooves, soulful musicality and the warmth of analogue production. His catalogue has appeared on respected labels including Circus Company, Planet E, Desolat and Real Tone Records, alongside an extensive body of music released through his own imprints.
Through Real Tone Records, Franck has also played an important role in championing new talent, with the label providing an early platform for artists including Maya Jane Coles, Dyed Soundorom, The Martinez Brothers, Paolo Rocco and M A N I K.
His later Home Invasion project returned deliberately to the fundamentals of house music: raw analogue production, vinyl culture and the human connection that existed around record shops and dancefloors long before music became dominated by algorithms and screens. The concept developed not only as a label but also as a series of parties in Paris.
Over the years Franck has taken his sound around the world while maintaining strong roots in the Paris scene, including longstanding connections with clubs such as Djoon and the Five Beats parties.
Behind the decks, his philosophy remains refreshingly straightforward: deep, soulful house music selected for the dancefloor by someone who has spent a lifetime immersed in it.
Franck Roger is not following the history of house music from a distance — he has spent decades helping to keep its original spirit alive.
